With the scorching sun and temperatures rising to 89° in certain areas of the USA, sipping on a fruity, refreshing, ice cold tea is by far the best way to cool off this summer, here are some flavorful, delicious and healthy Iced Tea recipes that you can make using Black Tea available at Prime Teashop.

 

Pineapple and sunflower blossom Iced tea cocktail

Add some fruity sweet, fun to your boring old black tea

Directions

Grab a heat-resistant pitcher, add approximately 1litre of hot boiling water and 10 tea bags of Prime Teashop Black Tea, let the tea bags steep, the water will change the colour you want a fine amber colour. Once the tea has steeped completely remove the tea bags, this will take around 10 minutes, leave the water to cool down.

Then add 250ML of pineapple juice and some sunflower blossom extract, you can add sugar if you please.

Leave the ice tea to refrigerate and serve chilled with ice.

This is a popular beverage at parties, it is always a hit amongst guests.

 

Apple and Sour Cherry Citrus Blast

This combination is by far my favorite its like having a cocktail without the alcohol (a mocktail basically), if you need your Vitamin C dose to hit you in the face, this is the tea you need to prepare, this is called a “blast” for a reason because the flavors just explode in your mouth. Once you try this one you are going to be hooked

 

Directions

Place 5 glasses of water in a pan on a stove and add 4tsp of Black Tea, bring to boil. Leave the tea to cool down, place the tea in a pitcher and add Pineapple juice and sour cherry aroma and leave it to chill in the refrigerator.

Serve chilled with ice cubes.

You may also add some mint in the pitcher to give it some more flavour and a strong scent.

 

Red Rose Petals and Peppermint Floral Aroma tea

Add red rose petals and peppermint in a grinder and grind until you make a fine powder or you can buy the extracts at your local supermarket.

In a pan, heat 5 cups of water and add 4 teaspoons of Black Tea also add two teaspoons of red rose petal extract and a pinch of peppermint and bring to boil.

Strain the contents and leave to cool down before refrigerating the tea.

Serve ice cold.

This tea has aromatherapy qualities and is often consumed for relaxation it is also popularly served in Thai massage centres as a relaxation beverage apparently it has anti-depressant qualities and is full antioxidants too.

 

Black Tea doesn’t necessarily have to be consumed in the traditional manner, i.e hot; with milk or cream. During the summer, tea can be consumed as a cold refreshment and can also be served at parties as a cocktail. The use of ice tea is becoming increasingly popular as even famous tea brands are launching their ice tea bottles but what can be better than making your own at home using the finest ingredients.
